The following information will help you assess how load-bearing your decking boards are. You can check this during the 14-day trial period.
The pull-out strength of a single standard decking screw in softwood (e.g. spruce, fir, larch) is over 100 kg of tensile force. Screws in hardwoods and tropical woods can withstand significantly higher loads.
With concealed fixings, we have frequently observed pull-out strengths of around 100 kg when two decking boards are loaded. If the load is too high, the fixings do not usually break immediately but instead become deformed.
This parasol stand with four anchors is attached to five floorboards. Loads are transferred to the two adjacent screw connections and distributed across the majority of the ten involved screw connections.
We guarantee a load-bearing capacity of 500 kg tensile force for floorboards a load-bearing capacity of 500 kg tensile force. For most concealed fastening systems, a tensile load capacity of at least 200 kg can be assumed.
